My husband and I, along with two elderly neighbors, had to evacuate and we had two dogs. This Motel 6 was the closest we could find to getting out of harms way due to Irma. Rooms were updated and clean. Had both microwave, fridge and WiFi available. The staff and owners were terrific and very accommodating. They were even kind enough to cook hamburgers and fries for all guest of the motel before everyone had to hunker down for the storm. I would highly recommend this Motel 6.
There were no vacancies along the coastline for any hotel I called.
I don't recommend this hotel to any paying customer, got into the room and couldn't take a shower due to the fact it was unusable. Hotel managers refused to Discount the room or offer a refund or even move us to another room.
My family and I are traveling north due to last minute decision to evade hurricane Irma. I was awake for 26 hours when I reached Georgia due to boarding up houses and driving.
Highly recommended. My wife and I needed a place to stay Tuesday after having an accident on I-95. We noticed two fellows brushing the outside halls outside as we drove past and took it as a good sign. It was. Eddie Patel, the manager, is a gracious host. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are ultra clean - incredibly clean - in fact, ours had no odor at all, not even the disinfectant smell most hotels have. The room was large and the king size bed was super comfortable. The 24 hour convenience store and restaurant were great to have next door. You can tell the hotel is on the older side, but everything seemed well-maintained and you can't beat the price. We would definitely stay again.
Excellent check in experience. Room was a typical inexpensive, basically clean, but very tired looking. Took my dog out for a walk, and then ate lunch at an adjoining restaurant. Returned to the room and went to sleep. Woke up very early, shaved and went to take a shower. unfortunately shower was missing parts and didn't work. It was way to early to ask for another room so I just towel washed myself, dressed and went on my way. What did I learn from this experience; check all plumbing before going to sleep.
I'm quite sure that Motel 6 should refund my entire charge for this terribly unsatisfactory motel room.
This family owned motel found a room for us and allowed us to get much needed sleep and showers. The ENTIRE staff has been nothing but the most accommodating and friendly group of people we have met. The rooms were clean. The beds were warm. I cannot thank this family and staff enough.
