You gotta go here if you like good seafood and can appreciate a down home atmosphere with a great view of marsh right on bluff located on dirt road underneath sprawling oaks with Spanish moss.
Food is good, love the battered shoestring fries. Grouper sandwich is very tasty. Fun atmosphere. Each order is cooked after you order so don't be in a hurry. But in Shellman Bluff no one is in a hurry, and that is great.
Good, simple seafood tucked away by the estuary. Seems to have been converted from a cottage, and still has that very local, welcoming feel like home. I ordered several things to try. Clams were great, fried foods weren't too greasy. Only issue was I was there en route to a work meeting - this place would have been better with a beer wearing flip flops and shorts. I'll definitely go back. Great discovery.
Unpretentious restaurant that was delishious. I had the Grouper Special and it was very tasty. Worth finding this place.
This is the best fried seafood I've ever eaten. Would definitely recommend the captain's platter to anyone who loves seafood.
